TARA-LEIGH COBBLE
FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
Her earliest memory is learning John 3:16 from her mom, shortly before her brother led her to Christ. Despite an early introduction to Christianity, she wasted years coasting on the second-hand information she learned from others. In 2008, through the gentle encouragement of a friend, she read all the way through the Bible for the first time. That changed everything. "I wanted and needed people alongside me in my pursuit of God—people to hold me accountable for scripture memory and Bible reading and all the things that were bringing me so much newfound joy!" Out of that need, she started D-Group with a handful of strangers in a living room in 2009. She lives in Dallas, TX, where she has no pets or children—or anything else that might die if she forgets to feed it.

As the daughter of a Minister of Music, Rachel grew up being at the church "every time the doors were open." She became a Christian at the age of six but it wasn't until joining D-Group that she was truly challenged with the question, "Is what I believe deeply rooted in scripture or is it just what was taught to me as a child?" Through processing that question, God strengthened the truth of her faith and gave her a burning desire to know Him and His Word more. Rachel lives with her husband, Chase, and their two sons in Simpsonville, SC. They are members of Brookwood Church in Simpsonville.

As a pastor’s kid, LB vowed she’d never go into full time ministry. She loved Jesus, but ministry required a faith she wasn’t sure she possessed. When God softened her heart and called her to a life of ministry, she knew it could only be accomplished by His strength, not her own. Her heart for Scripture and discipleship has continued to deepen since she began vocational ministry in 2009. She cherished the truth of Philippians 2:13: It is God who works in her, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. She lives in Dallas, TX, where she is on staff with D-Group, The Bible Recap, Israelux and The God Shot.

Lindsay grew up in a loving, Christian household and came to know Jesus as her Savior at 7 years old. In recent years, she has pursued a much deeper understanding of Scripture and her relationship with God, and as a result, she’s zealous about inviting others to join her in D-Group and The Bible Recap. She enjoys doing anything creative and RV camping with her family. Lindsay lives with her husband, Grant, and their two kids in Fort Worth, TX.

Warwick’s life testifies to God’s loving pursuit of him. He went to college and seminary in PA, where he developed discipleship programs for individuals, groups, and families. He is an ordained minister in the ACNA, serving as a US Army Chaplain. Framing his life around Galatians 2:20, he wants to see everyone rooted in Scripture, surrounded by community, and able to articulate what they believe. He has a deep love for God’s Word and is happy to be a part of the D-Group movement! He is married with 4 kids and serves currently as the Chapel Resource Manager at Wiesbaden Army Garrison, Germany. He and his family attend My Father’s House in Wiesbaden.

Having grown up in church, Jane doesn’t remember a time when she didn’t believe in God or the trustworthiness of His Word. Over the years, her understanding of the gospel shifted from enthusiastically accumulating information about Him to humbly embracing transformation by Him. One of her greatest joys is welcoming and encouraging others to pursue Him together, and she’s grateful D-Group provides so much support in this journey! Her other pursuits include homeschooling, reading, calligraphy, and planning fun outings around and beyond the DC area, where she lives with her family.

As a child, Meg taught Bible stories in front of her dolls, stuffed animals, and any neighbor she could convince to listen. Over time, her zeal for God morphed into merely serving Him, which led her to a season of spiritual burnout. In His kindness, the Lord awakened her heart with reminders of who He truly is. She genuinely desires to spend her days “testifying to the gospel of the grace of God” (Acts 20:24). She lives with her husband, Kameron, in Dallas, TX, where she enjoys a spontaneous game night and serves at City Church International.

Evaline was a quintessential Bible-Belt church kid who knew God loved her and Christ died for her, but faith was often reduced to trying to follow “His rules''. After high school the Lord gave her a fresh understanding of both the weight of sin and the glory of grace—that changed her life and produced a hunger to know Him more deeply and learn to really walk with Him. Through that time, God taught her about His love and what it meant to be a fisher of men. She hopes to spend the rest of her life growing in those things! Evaline currently calls Dallas, TX, home.

Abbey grew up being active in church as a "good church kid” despite her doubts. She moved to Memphis after college, where her sister encouraged her to visit the church she attended. While there, she joined a discipleship group where she learned what it meant to truly have a relationship with Jesus through prayer and reading the Word. At age 25, she fully surrendered her life to Christ, leaving her lifelong doubts behind. Abbey lives in Memphis and is a member of Bellevue Baptist Church.
